XHOSA. Tales of life from the African Veld.

The political Rhodesia is just another worry. This is a book about a different, and perhaps much more important,Rhodesia;a Rhodesia that is timeless and beyond the ebb and flow of things temporal. It tells of the wild places and wild creatures and of the men who made their lives among them.It centres around one such man,who was at once characteristic and yet distingtive and remarkable;and has something to say of his life and character, and above all of his observations. He was known to the Matabele as ‘Xhosa’.This book is a testament of a friendship with one of whom it could truly be said that nature might stand up and say to all the world”This was a man.”
