When Boys were Men.

£10.00

The adventures and experiences here told occurred in South Africa before 1875,and when the narrators were under 21.They were taken from diaries, letters journals and memoirs, many not previously published or not readily available. The purpose of this collection is to take a fresh look at the British tradition in our country;for a change,to pass over the commentaries of men and women who arrived here as mature and formed characters;to look instead,at Africa as it appeared through the eyes of the impressionable under -twenties;those whom Africa was to shape, and who were to shape Africa.
