Here is a strange little booklet,published by the Chamber of Mines in Johannesburg.It’s purpose is to invite the public to visit the tribal dance spectacle that the mine workers arrange to provide recreation for all the various tribal people who work the gold mines on the Witwatersrand.All Bantu mineworkers working in the mines,and are not primarily for the enertainment of the public.Dances all have their conections to all the 16 different tribes that are represented.All moneys received goes to charity.An interesting little booklet about a very colourful event.
