Thinking Black

Just before David Livingstone departed this earth, he described his intentions for his next expedition. It was to cross the Lualaba River in the South West, travel to the copper mines of Katanga, then on to discover the Fountains of the Nile, then to return to Katanga to visit the underground houses of Rua, then finally to go by boat up the Rive Lufira. Unfortunately this was never to be. However the author of this volume decided to follow Livingstone’s last desire, and this book describes the fulfillment of that dream – 22 years of travel in Central Africa. A travellers dream.
