Despite the fact that “The Zimbabwe Culture” was written 40 years ago,this account of the important 1929 excavations in Rhodesia has not been superseded.Whatever amendments appear necessary in the light of later knowledge about Zimbabwe’s backgrouned and dating,many questions still remain unanswered,including that of the identity of the “Ruins Builders”.And the basic research remains sound.
