£21.00

It was not until the last decade of the nineteenth century that British rule became established in the Rhodesias and Nyasaland;indeed it was not until the middle of the century that those previously unknown territories were opend up by Livingstone and Moffat. When the British first enterd the region it was ravaged tribal war and slave raids, and the African inhabitants had not even invented the wheel Yet today the Africans have already progressed so far that they have begun to demand full equality with the white people, whom they heavily outnumber.
