The Sacred Forest.

£5.00

The plan of this book may seem unusual. I am not a professional ethnologist(authors text) and i have simply followed the chronological order of events in describing the experience of four Frenchmen living for some months the life of an African people.Set out in 3 parts. The author describes his travels through Toma country, and his investigation into the moral code of the people. The 2nd part describes the attempts to illuminate their moral code, and their being able to watch and film their secret ceremonies, obliging them to undergo ritual tests.A book packed with exciting experiences.
