The Natal Story. Sixteen Years of Conflict.

In the last decade more than 11,600 people have died in KwaZulu/Natal.Thousands more have been injured, rendered homeless, cast adrift as refugees, violence in the region has left a trail of devastation, marked by the shattered windows and blackened ruins of empty houses. It has unleashed a savagry and a thirsting for revenge which will not easily be countered,it has made parts of the province,in the words of the late Mr.Chris Hani “like a wasteland”where people move around like dead souls. This study reflects an attempt to understand the horror that has occoured, and an endeavour to help bring it to an end.
