The Men of the Old Stone Age (Palaeolithic & Mesolithic)

Only in the last 150 years or so has Pre-history been seriously studied, and only in the last 75 has it become a science, mainly as a result of the prodigious number of sites and materials discovered and interpreted by such tireless workers and researchers as the Abb’e Henri Breuil.During the lifetime of archaeological work, the Abb’e became fascinated by the ways of Early Man,and it is in this book, based on a course of lectures given at the University of Lisbon in 1942,that he gives the measure of the range and depth of his knowledge of some of the earliest of our predecessors, the Men of the Old Stone Age.
