The Masai Story.

£6.00

The Masai tribe are a strange survival from primaeval Africa,a warrior people who might have stepped out of the pages of Rider Haggard.Of Hamitic race, they originated somewhere in the Nile Delta and gradualy worked their way down to Mount Kenya, where for a period they exercised domination over the indigenous tribes. They resisted Western civilisation when it reached East Africa, and eventualy were forced into a barren reserve in the mountains, where they now live a nomadic existence, herding their cattle and living as they have done through the ages.
