The Lost Valley.

In 1957 Hugh Tracey was invited by the Rhodes Livingstone Institute to make recordings of the music of the Tonga people at the time living in the stretch of the Zambezi valley which is now the bed of that great man-made lake, the Kariba dam. This book is an account of the all too brief ten days the Traceys and their assistants spent among the valley Tonga.
