The Lion hunter of South Africa. Five year’s Adventure in the Far interior of South Africa. With notes of the native tribes and savage animals.

£30.00

Here we have a typical book so plentyful in an Africana collection, that of the typical high-class English gentleman, educated in Eton, joining the millitary during the golden days of the Empire, passing his plentious leisure periods in the name of hunting, first in Scotland, then in North America, and finally being posted to Africa and the Cape Rifles,to strike out on his own into the interior.Purely a journal of his many experiences important to note, being the first Euopean to penetrate into the lands of the Bamangwato.
