Brink (Carel Frederik) Surveyor north of the Orange River.Arrived at the Cape in 1758,in 1760,he became assistant surveyor and mapmaker,and became chief surveyor in 1762. Hendrik Hop,explorer Paarl district Baptised 21.6.1716 a farmer and a Captain in the Stellanbosch Burgher Cavalry.Worked for the Dutch East India Company as an explorer. Ensign J. T. Rhenius of Berlin arrived at the Cape in or arround 1707

H/b in nice clean boards,corners bumped and spine faded.Size 9×6 pp XVI+160,inc.index, 4 f/o maps,plates showing hand-writing samples of various letters.Some staining to endpapers,and some light foxing to outer wedges,only visible when closed.Hinges strong.Binding good to firm.Interanally clean and bright throughout.
