Johan (Jan) Van Riebeeck.(1619-1677) The first Dutch Commander of the Cape of Good Hope,and founder of Colonisation in South Africa.He was selected by the Dutdh East India Company as commander of the proposed trading outpost on Table bay.He sailed for the Cape on December the 24th.1651.arriving at table bay on April the 6th1852.These three journals covers the period from 1651–1662.
