This book should realy be in another index section e.g.index 64 to be precise as it realy is a biography of quite a remarkable man.Sir James Percy Fitzpatrick.1862-1931.South African Statesman and author.Born in King Williams town,and educated in England.He was the first person to be termed a South African.Everyone of British parentage spoke of the British Isles as “home”.In an age in which there were no South Africans,only Transvaalers,Free Starters,Natalians,& Cape Colonials.As far as he was concerned,he was the first South African.

H/b in the original boards,corners bumped,spine ends slightly bruised,not actualy dirty,but looking tired and handled,no d/w.Size 10×7 pp 9+256,inc,.index,plates,cartoons in text.Hinges strong.Binding good to firm.No foxing or staining,perhaps a little age-browned to the outer edges. A good to v/g–++clean copy.
