This little booklet published by the Castle Military Museum Cape Town,relates the history and state of affaires in the Cape of Good Hope,when the Dutch surrenderd the Cape to the British in 1795.At the time Britain was at war with Holland.The threatened collapes of the Dutch East India Company,the future of the Cape looked bleak.
