Winnie Davies was a jungle nurse. A press-release was issued by Reuter on May 31st 1967, to the newspapers of the world. It said:CONGOLESE KILL WELSH NURSE. Miss Winnie Davies, 51, a Welsh missionary nurse from Coedpoeth, near Wrexham, was reported today to have been killed by Congolese rebels near Kisangani, formerly Stanleyville. Miss Davies worked for the Worldwide Evangelization Crusade. This little book is a dedication to her memory.
