This is the first English translation of a unique book–the first ever written in Zulu by a Zulu author.It was written shortly after the turn of the century and privatly published in 1922 under the tittle Abantu Abamnyama.In three sections:Historical,in which the author ponders the problems of racial origins and differences,and describes the settlement of the black people throughout Natal:Ethnographicaly,in which he describes the traditional customs of the people;and thirdly Zulu History,as viewed by the Zulu people.
