The Bushmen are the oldest race of Bechuanalnd’s population,having inhabited nearly all of Southern Adrica for twelve or fifteen thousand years.Today they have all but disappeared in the Republic of South Africa,Rhodesia, Zambia and are virtully confined to South-West Africa,Angola and Bechuanaland.The need for an investigation into the state of the Bushmen.In the late twenties a commission was set-up to study their position,and advise government on the steps which should be taken,in order to try and preserve these people and their way of life.
