As a result of correspondence with leading prehistorians all over Africa during 1943-1944, it became increasingly clear there was an urgent need for workers in the field to get together and discuss mutual problems, at the earliest possible opportunity, thus the Pan-African Congress on prehistory was held in Nairobi at the end of the war. This book covers the list of its proceedings.
h/b in rather shabby d/w with some slight loss on reverse. Boards a little stained, slightly bumped, top and tail of spine faded and ruffled, hinges sound, binding weak in places.
