This book deals with parts of Barbary,that is to say,with certain regions of Noth-Western Africa,and it is a travel book based on a number of journeys in Barbary.The author forms his story around a visit undertaken in 1939,but into his relation have gone memories of experiences of other days.Although some account is taken of the desert fringe,the main cene of the story is the mountainous north the real Barbary

H/b in rather soiled and sad looking boards.Dirty and stained with bruised corners with some slight damage to the spine.No d/w.Size 9×6 pp 255,inc index,glossary,bibliography,some reproduced b/w plates from prints,inc frontispiece.f/o chart in the back,front and back end-papers mapped.Both hinges cracked and loose.Binding sloppy,one plate detached.A torn-off ex-library book-plate to the fp/d.No foxing,some staining here and there.Internally reasonably clean,though slightly age-browned throughout.
