Nyasaland. The Land of the Lake.

Poor little Nyasaland the Cinderella of the Central African Federation;she has nothing to sell but her scenery and her labour. This book sets out to prove that such a description of the Land of the Lake is very inadequate.Under the guidance of brave missionaries, wise administraters and enterprising settlers,a mere handful of Europeans, she has climbed out of that slough of despond, and has become the best example of that partnership between white and black which the Federation now regards as the only hope of a peaceful and prosperous Central Africa.
