Lost City of the Kalahari. The Farini Story and Reports on other Expeditions.

£20.00

In 1885 the American adventurer G. A. Farini, undertook to explore the vast Kalahari desert,in search of diamonds, scientific information and adventure. It was towards the end of their exhausting journey that the expedition stumbled quite by chance on what appeared to be the ruins of a mighty city,in some places buried beneath the sand, but in others fully exposed to view.We have his scientific training to thank for the fact that he recorded every phase of the incredible journey.
