Lobengula. The tragedy of a Matabele King.

This book is the simple story of a very remarkable Zulu Chieftain,a man of leadership and ability, who established his own kingdom. It had alas, also to be the story of his downfall, and the manner of that downfall. This work aimes in the first place at defending the case of Lobengula against European encroachments, striking revelations are made in regard to the tussle between Kruger and Rhodes, and the latter is sometimes dethroned in a somewhat harsh manner, but Kruger also does not escape the verdict of history.
