Livingstone’s River. A history of the Zambezi Expedition (1858-1864

This volume is quite easy to describe, simply as a history of one of Livingstones many Zambezi expeditions. The subject chosen for this work is the Zambezi expedition of 1858-1864,the second of Livingstones three geat exploites. It was the least successful and in consequence the least publicised of the three,in fact it was a failure-or so regarded at the thime.Set out in 12 chapters, his journey is followed with all the usual incidence and experiences that makes Livingstone history so popular.
