Land of the Tikoloshe.

After musing through the first few pages of this book I eventually discovered what the word “Tikoloshe” actually represents, apparently they are entirely imaginary water spirits, with puckish tendencies. It seems this book is a story of the AmaMpondo people and their neighborough tribes in an area from Port Elizabeth up to Durban on the south-eastern Cape. Attention is based on the Transkei, Fingoland, Temboland and Pondoland. One needs to read through this volume to find out why it is the land of the “Tikoloshe”.
