Kingdoms of the Yoruba.

This little book describes the various kigdoms that go to make up the empire of the Yoruba. These are a cluster of Kwa-speaking peoples of south-western Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.Although some north-eastern Yoruba are organized according to kinship groups and lack centralized chiefships, most groups are organized in culturally similar but politically autominous kingdoms, all tracing their origins to the Kingdom of Ife.This little book explains it much more clearly.
