h/b no d.w Red leather bound boards in fairly poor condition, Edgworn, with half of the tittle panel missing. Gilded and paneled spine, with gilt crest on front panel. Marbled edges, e/p and p/d. Size 7x5pp412 With two f/o maps at the back. Front hinge slightly cracked. Binding firm and textblock mainly clean with only a little foxing on page edges. Many b/w plate drawings , along with a signed b/w portraite of the author with stained tissue guard. A great pity about the damage to the tittle panel on the spine, together with the worn boards, other-wise this would be a very nice copy.
