This book covers the story of the Chartered Company.This charter was issued to Cecil John Rhodes and others for the purpose of setting up the British South Africa Company.in October 1888.of a concession for the mineral rights of Mashonaland.This charter authorised this company to enter into diplomatic relations,and carry out military expeditions,as a result a pioneer column was sent north to colonise and administer Rhodesia.This book explains the reasons behind its failure.

I have 2 copies of this book in stock,both in h/b in nice clean boards,both in nice clean illustrated d/w some slight edge-ware,and shelf-rubbed.Sizes 9×6 pp 192,inc,index,references,bibliography,plates as artists impressions and reproduced photographic prints,page maps.All hinges strong.both bindings good to firm,There is some small celotape staines in one copy with slight staining to end-papers.Otherwise both internally clean and bright throughout.
