In modern African literature there are quite a lot of books written by modern authors on the lives and conditions suffered by the youths, in the ghettos of South Africa during the apartheid period. So here we have another story told by a young African boy, describing his upbringing in Soweto, and the harsh treatment and bad conditions, and final imprisonment, he and many others had to cope with.
