Beyond the City Lights.

Lawrence G. Green’s new book tells the story of the Western Province–the towns and the farms, the life of the people, the folklore and the legends. It is the tradition and style which makes his “Karoo” a tremendous success;but this book on the gracious and serene old Cape districts forms a strong contrast to his narrative of the hard Karoo regions. This is ,to a large extent, the unwritten story of the Western Province.
