Battlefields of South Africa

Five years ago, prominent South African landscape artist Gail van Lingen embarked on a new and adventurous project quite different from anything she had tackled before-painting the battlefields of South Africa. This project immersed her in historical reseach and set her travelling the length and breadth of the country.,to archives and museums and to the battlefields themselves. This is a massive volume in both size and the impact it has on those who are interested in the history of the colonial wars in South Africa.
