With changes in the political map of Africa,the problem of agriculture becomes more pressing.Mr.Yudelman discusses the agricultural performance of the European minorities,whose skills and capital have provided the leading edge of economic growth,and that of the African majorities,whose methods and equipment have been backward and whose participation in economic growth has been low.Southern Rhodesia’s future is problematic,but,whatever happens politically,the agricultural gap must be narrowed.
