Thaba Bosiu–or Thaba Bosigo,the “Mountain at Night”is one of the historic mountains of South Africa.It derives its name from the belief among the Basutos,that the mountain assumes greater proportions at night.This was the stronghold of the Basuto Nation,founded by Moshweshwe.It was from here that he aborted all atempted attacks on the Basuto Nation,even the British and the boer’s couldnt get to him.This litlet booklet gives its history.
