Professor Abun-Nasr,s book is unique, it is the only book in English which attempts to describe the history of the Maghrib from prehistoric times to the achievment of independance in the mid 1900,s. This fact alone should make the book significant but its value to students of North African history does not rest solely on its unique nature.

Patterned card covers in v/g sharp condition and nice and clean. Size 8×5 pp 422 inc index plus bibliography. Binding and hinges good and firm. Textblock clean and bright throughout, some b/w page maps, no staining or browning. A good copy, in general. Nice for a soft cover.
